Sex Trafficking: Caring for survivors
through a multidisciplinary framework

The Charlottesville/Albemarle Human Trafficking Task Force was founded in February 2019 as a response to human trafficking in the community. The Task Force strives to prevent and to respond to human trafficking through the use of a multidisciplinary framework.

In our presentation, we hope to address the following learning objectives: 1) Discuss the process of developing a community human trafficking task force, 2) recognize common barriers in the formation of a task force and their potential solutions, and 3) understand the importance of a multidisciplinary framework in addressing the needs of survivors of sex trafficking.
