Education on identifying human trafficking victims has been a growing topic in training nurses, APPs, and physicians. The hospital is filled with non-medical staff that have a large role to play in patient care and should be included in education on how to identify a trafficking situation. In this presentation Katherine will discuss her quality improvement project of training medical interpreters in identifying trafficked persons and how their unique relationship with the patient can improve a clinician's ability to recognize this overlooked and often-times misunderstood patient population.
