I taught human trafficking survivors for a few years at a safe house while still living in Louisiana. It wasn’t until I started working firsthand with survivors that I understood the importance of seeing and interacting with them through a trauma informed lens. In my presentation, I will discuss my experience in developing my own trauma informed response with survivors and how you can apply that in your field.
