Katherine Murphy is a fourth year medical student and aspiring ObGyn at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She was born in Japan and lived there for eight years until moving to Virginia and has been here ever since! Her passions include promoting a professional culture of wellness and improving women’s health. She has served on leadership positions in medical student government, the Wellness Committee, and the ObGyn Student Interest group to further those interests. She hopes to learn more about trauma informed care, prevention and screening of intimate partner violence, and identifying victims of human trafficking to provide the best possible care to her future patients.
