Celie graduated from High school in 1971 and from the Richmond Memorial Hospital in 1973 where she trained to become a Certified Laboratory Assistant (predates the Medical Laboratory Technician certification) ASCP.
Celie spent 6 happy years in the medical laboratory field. She married in 1977, and, after having her first of three daughters, Celie spent the next 12 years as a stay at home mom. Due to the sudden death of her husband in 1991, Celie re-entered the work force as an administrative assistant in a non-medical field. In 1997, she married Glenn.
Celie eventually worked her way into office management. Her last position was as an office manager for an investment advisory firm where she worked for 17 years. Celie retired in 2016.
Celie believes she have been given this life for passion and purpose: to speak life- giving truth to those who are hurting, to bear another’s burdens, to come alongside those who feel powerless, and to give God glory every step of the way.
